Round Robin Journal 3 - Gemma's Journal

Gemma's journal was the third one I received in our round robin; her colour theme was purple...
Her fabulous journal cover reminded me of dragons and fairy tales ... which I think inspired the fairytale-style forest I painted on it's pages ...
The leaves and flowers on the main tree are cut from scrapbook paper (I like green with purple), and the butterfly and words are stamped in deep purple ink ...
On another page I painted a paler purple background and stamped some dragon flies ...
... which I repeated on a tag, threaded with some deep purple ribbon that I'd been saving specially.

  1. Hi Angie ♥
Beautiful work! I love all of
    the different shades of purple
    you used...the hills and trees...
it is just like a fairy tale scene.
    Don't put the purples away...Stephanie's
book should be in your box any day,
    purple too :)
    Love to you!

  2. These Round Robins are always so fun to look at ~ don't be surprised if you get a random journal in the mail... (just kidding), but I have to admit there's a bit of envy with how gorgeous they come out! Hope all else is going great on your end♥

  6. I would love to follow the butterfly through this magical forest. I'm sure I'd see a prince and princess, dragons, maybe a good witch or some fairy folk! It does have a fairytale look and the colors are soft and fabulous! It is perfectly "Gemma"!
