Round Robin journal 4 - Stephanie's journal

Stephanie's journal, like Gemma's, is themed purple; this time with black, touches of metallic and blue-green ... These are my pages ...
I don't naturally gravitate towards purple, but I enjoyed working in these rich, opulent colours...
I've used paint, oil pastels, ink and various assorted collage materials. The wistful lady is a vintage image which I've hand-altered...
And a secret - the tiny purple crystals I've used to decorate the birdcage, butterfly and heart are from the Pound Shop, and are intended to be used as nail decorations!

I think the next journal I'll receive is themed red ... my favourite colour!

  1. This really is opulent - love all the layers and the wistful look on the lady. I wonder what she is thinking about - perhaps she wishes that they made stick on shinies for nails in the early 1900s...

  2. I love what you have done to the paper behind the bird cage~your pages are just beautiful, Angie. You really know how to add depth and interest without cluttering the page...that is a talent I wish I had.
I sent Kim's red journal last Thursday, I hope you will get it before the week is out.

  3. I love the colors you used with the purple, and that you incorporated them in the lettering as well. You really know how to make it all flow so beautifully! The bird cage just pops with your dreamy background. I love that she is in another place in her mind, dreaming, wishing , longing for ?
    Beautiful pages Angie!!!
