Round Robin Journal Number 2 - Maggie's Journal

The second journal that I received in our Round Robin project - Maggie's - was themed in
orange, yellow and grey .... a journal full of sunshine and showers!

It was a bit outside my comfort zone as I've been working a lot in whites and neutrals lately, but I enjoyed the change of scene! These are the pages I did ...
Paint, ink and oil pastel with paper collage - music, scrapbook paper and Shakespeare sonnets, a vintage bird image and butterflies.
And a vintage rose image on the other page...
And a tag to match...!
I had written down which order the journals were being sent but can't seem to find the list now. I quite like the extra excitement of not knowing what colour theme I'll be working in until the next journal arrives through my letterbox!

  1. So exciting to see what's coming my way next month! Love the pretty butterflies and the taste of British springtime you are sending Maggie's way. The colour combination is not really something I would use but it works so well together. I'm excited to roll my sleeves up and have a go!

  3. Angie, these pages are amazing!! The springtime theme is so perfect right now...I love all the elements you've used. Butterflies flitting, birds singing, music and poetry... Spring has finally burst upon us here in Pennsylvania, and these pages reflect the beauty that is right outside my window.
I always hear that orange is not a favorite color of a lot of people, but I just love orange! It makes these pages so happy, and they just dance! Thank you so much, Angie ♥

  6. Gorgeous pages Angie - even better in reality - I waited until I opened the real thing before coming to your blog and it was worth waiting. The blending you've done in the background is so skillful and rich - really lovely. I love the collage mix of nature, music and literature that you've created - full of inspiration. I'm sure Maggie will love your pages. Now time for me to think in orange, grey and yellows....:-)
