This week's IAE team's challenge word was "hidden". I love this theme! Hidden, mysterious things and secrets really capture my imagination! I did start playing about with some work about "secrets" which basically involved feathers and keys and things under tissue paper. But ... well, you know the story, it's 4 days til Christmas, shopping, wrapping, visiting blah blah blah etc etc ... and I haven't had the time to develop that idea further as yet.
So, I was going to leave the challenge for this week, but then when I looked out at my garden this morning and saw how beautiful it looked hidden under a carpet of snow, well, that was my submission sorted! I may well do some more work based on this theme, once the last-minute Christmas rush has passed and I can (fingers crossed) enjoy some post-Christmas peace and tranquility! Merry Christmas and a Peaceful and Happy New Year!

  3. Steph yes I agree, I actually love hydrangeas most when their colour has gone, and the snow makes them all the more delicate looking!

Luthien thank you! I'm a long way from being a photographer but I do enjoy "finding" pictures like this!

  8. What perfect images for the word Hidden! Each photo is so different from the other, one with vibrant color and one more muted. I love them both!

  10. These are both great submissions to the challenge. They are great photos.
Love the snow on the red berries, such wonderful contrast and then the snow on the fading hydrangea's gives an equal but yet totally different effect.
    Have a very Merry Christmas.
    Hugs,
