This wonderful book was one of my Christmas gifts - along with a couple of other art books that I've been lusting over for a while - and I've had my head stuck in them ever since!! The best bit of this book for me is the series of artistic challenges at the end. I like an interesting starting point! My favourite ideas from the book are "Paint a Dream", which I suppose is self-explanatory, and "Pay Attention", which involves making art based on three things you notice just going about your normal day. I love the concept of noticing what's always around you, seeing it with fresh eyes, and finding beauty in unexpected places.

  6. Stephanie yes it crossed my mind about possibly suggesting some of them as team challenges - some great starting points!

  7. I have this book, maybe I will have to dig it out again. Sometimes, when I look at other people's art too much, it jangles my brain off my track. Know what I mean?
