This was an easy one for me, as nearly all my supplies seem to be in Tammy's chosen colour scheme ... white, tan and black.
I started this page by painting the background in rich tan, with some touches of black to give interest. I then added collaged papers, a strip of washi tape (I love the look of white writing on black!) and bits of torn paper doily.
The opposite page I painted white, added a black disc and handmade envelope, then tucked a butterfly tag inside. The key is mounted on a painted slide mailer.
I really wanted to use
the white keys as Tammy and I share a love of them (as well as a love of text, and
hearts, and colour themes!) They're ceramic; I'm a little worried
about posting them but fingers crossed with the aid of bubble wrap they'll survive!
I've used this image (it's a vintage/copyright free one from The Graphics Fairy) lots, I have a few favourite images that I seem to be drawn to use again and again.
The clock face was provided by Tammy - her journal came with an envelope full of gorgeous things in her colours, so we could use one or two on our pages. I love that idea!
And finally, a tag for Tammy!
The journal project is coming to an end soon, only 2 more books to go. The next one is in rust colours ... can't wait!
So beautiful! It must be really exciting to receive the journals and get to work on them! Hope you have had a good summer!xx
ReplyDeleteHow amazing- yes, I can see that Tammy's colors are a natural fit for you! As always, I LOVE all the elements you chose to use- gorgeous-ness!

P.S. I can't believe we only have two more to go...time sure does fly!
Love the white key, white on black, and and the other elements you put together to make this so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDecadent use of Tammy's colours that give me a feeling of a vintage Victorian ladies journal that could be handed down through generations. You've also managed to incorporate so much of Tammy in this & I see now how much your work shares. Tammy is definitely going to treasure these pages. I look forward to seeing them for real and holding them in my hands soon.

The beautiful image of the young lady, the keys, the writing, the layers and hearts, oh my! I cannot wait to see it all in person. Thank you for putting a piece of you in my journal. I will cherish it.

Oh so wonderful: vintage-y and romantic, and I HAVE noticed that your style and Tammy's go so nicely down the same path! Those ceramic keys are awesome! And I also love the black washi tape with white writing. So rich and beautiful, Angie!!
ReplyDeleteHi Angie♥
ReplyDeleteOf course I had to click on each picture, and wow, they are glorious in there carefully chosen elements. You and Tammy DO share a lot of the same 'likes' but it is defiantly YOUR artwork I see here. The ceramic keys...I have never seen any of those, how exquisite.
