Round Robin Journal 5 - Kim's Journal

August already! Journal 5 already!! Where's this year disappearing to?! The fifth journal that arrived for me to work in belonged to Kim ... and it was gorgeous, full of colour and quirky touches!

She's chose my favourite colour - red - for her journal, along with pink and orange.

These are the pages I made for her (apologies for the slightly poor pictures, they were taken in a hurry to scrape the postal deadline!)
I started with some pretty sunflower images and added a painted doily, some red spotty washi tape (my current favourite thing!), and other collage elements.
I stitched a simple red heart onto brown paper and found a scrap of playing card - I felt the Queen of Hearts was suitable for Kim! :-)
I also made a tag using some tea bag paper - I've been experimenting recently! - and a little orange button.
I've waved Kim's journal goodbye now but am looking forward to the next one arriving soon - this time the colour scheme will be black, tan and white. Loving the diversity of this project!

  5. Angie this spread is so sweet! I count 3 hearts so it most definitely was made with a dash or two or 3 of love. Red is my favorite color, as well. Vibrant, full of energy and sexy. I love the playing card and that you used the tea bag for the tag oh and the cute little orange button.

    xo,
    Tammy
