Inspired by words

I loved the theme of this week's Inspiration Avenue challenge, which was "Inspired by Words" (in honour of April being National Poetry Month).
I didn't expect to have time to do a challenge piece this week, but serendipitously
(now there's a good word!) one of the canvases I was working on already pretty much fit the bill.
So, although it's not yet finished, I'm submitting what I've done so far. It's title is "Unwritten Poem", and it's inspired by my favourite words.
I'd love some feedback on this piece as it's very much a work in progress and I have a deadline (aargh!) so any comments/critiques would be much appreciated :)

  4. I always love your repetition. Did you make the boxes, or are they match boxes? Either way, they were a true labor of love. I can see how labor intensive this piece is, and the subtle colors you have picked draw your eye around the piece. It is beautiful, and I can't even imagine how much farther you will take it.

  5. I really like this piece. I like the idea of the little boxes hiding their individual little secrets or insights. I like the range of materials used in each one, giving texture. I like that some are upside down making a pattern. I like the subtle colors. Just a gorgeous piece.

    Thanks for the visit.

  6. Hi Angie!
Wow, this is such an intricate piece...and so peaceful. I like that you used the word whisper...that is one of my favorite words.
How about using serene or serenity...or grace or graceful? Or thoughtful? Those are some of my other favorites :)
    Happy Sunday my friend♥♥♥

  7. I love this! Your neutral color palette is perfect for this piece, keeping it from being too busy or crafty. (not that there's anything wrong with "busy" or "crafty" art!!lol) a beautiful work!

  13. artangel, this is a lovely piece.
I particularly like your play on dimensions (hi & lo).
I find the blue piece in the third row, 5th column, a little distracting. I think you need to tone it down a bit or add some more blue in the opposite corner to give it a bit more balance.
    Very nice!
