Vintage photography challenge

Some photos I took on a recent trip to the seaside, vintage-d up for this week's Inspiration Avenue challenge.
I think the seaside suits the vintage look - it always feels kind of timeless.

I've edited my photos using the fabulous Picnik, which is sadly closing next month. For those that were as panic-striken by this news as I was, there's another site I've found that's worth a look -

You can find more submissions for the "Vintage photography" theme here.

  1. You're right...the seaside can look so timeless. I can picture these images being captured 50 or even more years ago. Another thing about seaside towns ~ they look so similar no matter where they are. However, that is a gorgeous railing along the pier, and I've never seen one like it!

  2. I have to agree that the seaside is the perfect sight for vintage type photos. You did a super job. I really MUST check out this new site. I've never been to Picnik, but I will give picmonkey a look. Thanks for the link. And thanks for such an awesome IA entry this week. I LOVE it. It feels so desolate that you truly can believe you are alone there.

  3. reminds me so much of Blackpool! such wonderful images!! *swoon*

  4. Wonderfully rendered vintage feel. It's great that Shel's challenge is so popular. It took me a while to figure out what to do but in the end It was such fun manipulating my first piece digitally.
Thanks for stopping by and the comment is appreciated!
