I love it when the first signs of Spring start to appear.
I think it's impossible not to feel more optimistic when the flowers start to bloom; they're such a symbol of hope.

ah spring ... i can almost smell it! i use to love looking at the bulbs come up. in my final year in Manchester, i lived in an apartment on Victoria road and i remember my bedroom window overlooks to an unused, overgrown space. it looks pretty awful during winter but comes spring ... they have the prettiest flowers growing there. it's like fairyland just moved into the neighbourhood :)
