All you need is love


We were given a choice for this week's Inspiration Avenue team challenge - the idea was to create an aged/distressed art work using one of the following words - wish, love, dream, faith, hope, friend, create, bloom, play, inspire or sweet! Kind of eleven inspirations for the price of one really - decisions decisions!

My submission (above) is a mixed media piece on canvas. I have a confession though - it's not yet quite finished or all glued down! 

I had a lot of fun making this - I love working with materials that are re-cycled, ripped, aged, stained or basically ... past their prime!! I may even post a little tutorial piece on the techniques I've used here, later this week.

    As always, Angie you blew me away with this piece. I love the vintage book page and the elements you added. I love it all, actually. Nicely done my friend. It is a gorgeous piece. You know what I am realizing...you have a trademark heart in all of your pieces. Duh...I am slow. You are an angel of hearts.

    Angie, it may not be finished, but I love it anyway. It is already superb. And I also love recycled, ripped, and torn. How perfect for this challenge! And of course, I'm in LOVE with this piece.

    Tammy it's not a conscious thing but yes I do tend to return to the same things - notably hearts, keys and buttons! Thanks again for such a wonderful challenge theme :)
