The theme for the Inspiration Avenue challenge this week was "Your Home Town".
Manchester is ...
The city where the first computer was made, and where the atom was first split.
Coronation Street
Beauty and decay
Manchester City (and that other football team whose name escapes me)
The Curry Mile
Music - The Happy Mondays, The Smiths, Joy Division, Oasis, and many more
The Northern Quarter
The Gay Village
The Toast Rack in Fallowfield
The inflatable Santa on the Town Hall roof every Christmas
Boddington's beer
L.S.Lowry
Old and new
Ford Maddox Brown
