Pink is the new teal?

This week's IAE team challenge was to create some work inspired by the word "pink". Now to be honest, pink isn't a colour I'm naturally drawn to; sometimes though it's very freeing to experiment with things that are outside your artistic comfort zone! In fact I think that's what I love most about the weekly challenges, they always inspire us to branch out, rather than sticking with what we know and love (which in my case would be red, chocolate brown and teal!) It's often the same with commission work - I quite enjoy starting the process of painting from an idea in someone else's head. I'm posting early this week, as I'll be selling (well, hopefully!) at a craft fair all day tomorrow. I think I'll take these cupcakes with me - wish me luck! You can see all this week's challenge entries here, and a new theme for next week will also be posted shortly - hope you'll come and join in!
