All Finished!!

Well - I finally finished the commission that I have been working on for Jennie, and I did say I'd post a photo of the final result, so here we are! I was very flattered to be asked by Jennie to help her create a kind of a "gallery wall" for her spare room. Jennie had a some great ideas to start with (e.g. the pink peony on the mint green was her suggestion - I think that's a fabulous color scheme!) and also chose a couple of paintings she liked from my sold items which I re-created for her to tie in with the others. Other pieces we decided on as we went along, making changes now and then so that the overall group worked together - a true two-way creative process! I sent all the paintings off last week (along with another that Jennie had requested for another space) and then started been biting my nails a bit! As I said to Jennie, it was a bit like sending your babies out into the big wide world :) I've never (fingers crossed, touch wood etc) had a painting go missing in transit as yet, but as this was such a large commission, and such a lot of work, I admit to being a little anxious until Jennie confirmed they had arrived safe and sound! Jennie has been an absolute pleasure to work with all the way through the process, and I feel that I've gotten to know her a little bit through our many ongoing emails! I'm delighted that my art is going to be on display in the home of such a lovely person!
