I've been having a bit of a pre-Christmas clear-out and found some brown luggage tags left over from an art show I did, so I thought I'd re-cycle them to make Christmas tags!
It's really quick and easy and a good way to use up scraps of pretty paper left over from other projects. Here's a quick how-to if you want to make some yourself:
The tags I had were a bit too large for me so I cut them down to the size I wanted. Then I drew the tag shape onto my chosen papers, using the tag itself as a template, and cut it out.
I glue the paper onto the tag using PVA glue, then when it was completely dry punched a hole through the top and added some thin red ribbon.
I left the backs blank to write a message but you could cover both sides with paper if you wanted. Here are some more I made, this time with a little heart and a button added :)
They look lovely- so much nicer than plain tags:)

Your Christmas tags are elegant and I like the pastel ones, too. I wondered about the sneezing on a Sunday, too- couldn't find the line for the first day of the week.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Angie! I have a huge box of plain brown tags and didn't feel inspired to do anything with them. Now I can't wait to create some gift tags. I love the Christmas ones, and the addition of the hearts and buttons to the pastel ones is so cute! Thank you!
