Paying it forward

I'll be celebrating 5 years on etsy later this month, and as it turns out it's also Pay it Forward Day the same week.

So ... I've decided to offer some "Pay it Forward" items in my etsy shop throughout the month of April.

This basically means I'll be giving some things away for free (well, almost - it's impossible to list something for free on etsy, so I have to charge $0.20) on the understanding that the buyer does a good deed for someone else in return.

The good deed doesn't have to be anything earth-shattering like eradicating famine or curing disease (though hey if you want to aim high..!)

It can just be something to make someone's day a bit brighter - maybe writing a compliment on the pavement in chalk, buying a chocolate bar from a vending machine and leaving it there for the next person, or entering a friend's name into a competition :)

The first PIF item will be listed in my etsy shop tomorrow (April 5th) so keep an eye out!
PS My lovely friend Rona mentioned how great it would be to hear about any "pay it forward" good deeds - so please do let me know if there's anything you'd like to share :)

Congratulations on 5 years of Etsy! In Etsy-years, that's a looong time :) I feel like I've been there forever, and I've only got 3 years.
