The Inspiration avenue challenge this week was "letters of the alphabet" - to create something incorporating words or letters.
I liked the idea of making an alternative love letter (well it is almost Valentines Day!). I've decoupaged this wooden heart with French text, tea-stained it and added a little distress ink round the edges.
The backing paper and little envelope are also made from paper with writing on. I've cross-stitched a tiny heart to fit inside the envelope, and added red ribbon and some buttons to finish :)

Not sure how I missed this, but it is gorgeous. I'm a big fan of hearts, and this one is perfect for the IA challenge. It's always fun to see how you interpret an IA challenge.
