Love letter heart - IAE creative challenge

The Inspiration avenue challenge this week was "letters of the alphabet" - to create something incorporating words or letters.
I liked the idea of making an alternative love letter (well it is almost Valentines Day!). I've decoupaged this wooden heart with French text, tea-stained it and added a little distress ink round the edges.
The backing paper and little envelope are also made from paper with writing on. I've cross-stitched a tiny heart to fit inside the envelope, and added red ribbon and some buttons to finish :)

This heart is now for sale in my etsy shop.

  10. I love this and it's mine now. Just purchased it. Ha! I am rubbing my hands together in anticipation. :) You know I love all things vintage and the book page sent my heart aflutter and add to that that sweet little envie and oh I had to have it.

    Hugs,

  11. I loved this heart so much that I rushed to your etsy shop and as I looked and looked I started to suspect it had been sold. So I come back here to the comments to see it was Tammy! She beat me to it. Poop!

As you can tell from my comment - I love this heart. The mixture of materials used, textures and text is perfect.
