This is my latest addition to my Etsy shop - an original mixed media painting on canvas 12 x 16".
This semi-abstract painting is inspired by the ebb and flow of the tides, and the natural forms of the pebbles and stones washed up by the sea.
I have used various media on this one - acrylics, collage, oil pastels and colored pencils. The splatter effect on a couple of the pebbles is done with the old nursery school method of spattering paint with a toothbrush (or "poor man's airbrush"!) I did of course spatter not only the pebbles but myself, the table and some of the wall!
I absolutely adore the painting!! Your work is just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWould have loved see the photos of splatter as well ;) but certainly worth the effort! ~Sharon
Thanks Sharon - will remember to take photos of spattering in progress next time ;)
